The Conservatory showing a range of very large tropical plants. The windows have blinds, remnants of which existed in 1984 before the restoration. The swimming pool did not exist at this time. I believe this was taken at the same date as the other photos in this collection in 1898, when the conservatory would have been heated by underfloor heating pipes. The Conservatory was not affected by the fire in 1905.
